July 27, 2020 The first time we looked at the house, we noticed a block of wood nailed to the wall in the observation room of the tower. Written on it, in pencil, was a list of small items such as a tennis ball, Minnie Mouse, Care Bear and a silver truck. It was titled “Find Us”. We thought it might be a left over scavenger hunt in the house for some children, but I wondered about that because it was nailed up high enough that I had to look up to read it (from the bottom of my bifocals, ha) – too high for little kids. It was one of the many questions we wanted to ask someone. That someone turned out to be Scott, the builder of the tower house and a close personal friend of the former owner. He was gracious enough to chat with us, and here’s the story.
His crew had some fun with the 85′ lift while working on the tower, and affixed some toys in the tree tops…. it was up to us to see if we could find them! Every time we went up there we would peer out the windows, thinking that it would be a lot easier if there weren’t so many leaves, and knowing that the trees had definitely grown taller over the last 15 years. There it was, the first one, the silver truck!

What a fun and unexpected discovery, and just one more unique (and wacky) feature of the Black Sheep Tower House. Thanks, Scott and Jason!
