Black Sheep Tower House

OMG – this House!

May 21, 2020 – OMG the House!

Wow.  We were at the house for the first time and it was amazing… we loved it!  We had driven up that morning (8 hours or so) and met our realtor at the house around 4pm, and got to look around for a while, and ask questions of the realtor representing the UNH Foundation.  There was SO much to look at, it was overwhelming.  Also, there was a huge amount of “stuff’ left literally all over the house.  Some would be removed before closing, but the house was being sold “as is”.

Our friend and carpenter/contractor Chris Sullivan met us there after work to check it over and give us a sense of the scope of the work.  He ended up writing an estimate for us that was extremely helpful in understanding the cost to finish the house, so we could determine our financial approach.  We certainly had a lot to think about!!

Here is a link that we spent hours looking through – a 3D representation of the house… much of the “stuff” will be removed soon, but you can see the bones of the house. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=r8Nc5YxHRhL

“Home” to our friend Sandy’s house just a few miles away, who despite COVID was very welcoming and hosted us on this trip – NH was on the cusp of opening up lodging, and otherwise we weren’t sure where we would be able to stay.  We spent the evening chewing over the challenges, and entertaining Sandy with the stories and impressions of the day.
